Threlkeld village is four miles
East of Keswick on Derwentwater in the Northern Lake District.
Easily accessed by the main road to the West Coast, the
A66, Threlkeld is surrounded by some of the most spectacular
Lakeland scenery in the area with Blencathra and the Helvellyn
range on the doorstep.
From the M6 motorway: Turn off
at Penrith (junction 41) and head on the A66 towards Keswick
and Cockermouth. After 12 miles you will see the obvious
signs for Threlkeld village turning right. Take the first
turn into Threlkeld and follow the road past the Salutation
Inn and The Horse and Farrier (pubs) and take the first
turning right at the top of the road (Blease Road). Turn
immediately right down an unmade road and travel for 100
yards - Ling Close is located at the end of this road on
your left.
